Imagine the challenge of raising a child or caring for loved one with developmental or intellectual disabilities. If you’re reading this, we know you don’t have to imagine. That’s because the uncertainty and financial worry are on your mind every day.

IMPACT has been a great asset in helping me get the care I need for my 5 year old special needs granddaughter. Anytime I have questions or need help with paperwork Gina and Trevor get back to me immediately. They’re always friendly, caring, and professional.

IMAGINE MONEY’S NOT A FACTOR

That’s because IMPACT’s services have never cost our families a dime, and can actually pay you to care for your family member or loved one.
Here’s how it works:

BE YOUR OWN
FAMILY’S PROVIDER

In many cases a qualified family member can be a Client’s provider, as can a parent if the child is 18 years or older. Since someone must always be home with the Client anyway, this can be absolutely life changing for the family, by allowing a trusted family member the freedom to care for their loved one.

Once you complete the approval process, a parent or family member becomes an IMPACT employee, receiving all the benefits of an outside provider. Check with your Case Manager or Service Coordinator to find out if you’re eligible.

BRING IN AN

OUTSIDE PROVIDER

If you’d prefer to bring in a caregiver from outside of your home, we’ll arrange for a Direct Support Professional (DSP), who we call “Provider”, to care for your loved one, who we call “Client”. As employees of IMPACT, they provide a much needed break to your family: one on-one-meal prep, prompting safety practices when out in the community, taking the customer on errands to reinforce life skills, using the crosswalk safely, the bus system, and many other communication skills with the public. The needs of the customer leads the provider's tasks.

We pride ourselves on screening and hiring the highest quality individuals to be our DSP's/Providers. Our goal at IMPACT is to create a environment where our providers are happy, loyal, productive and dependable. We pay at the top of the scale and in the process are creating quality, good paying jobs for Oregonians. Our providers even receive a benefits package with a 401k plan.
