IMPACT DSP WENDY & CLIENT NATHAN

Six colorful hands surrounding a pink heart with a black background.
Jayden is very determined to figure out this world, and that’s where I fit in - helping to introduce him to new and interesting things in a creative and positive way. He really is a great young man.

Often, a family member can serve as a Client’s provider, including a parent if the child is 18 years or older - offering a meaningful option for the family. After completing the approval process, that family member becomes an IMPACT employee and receives the same salary and benefits as an external provider, all while staying home with their loved one.

If you choose to bring in an external caregiver, we will coordinate a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support your loved one. As IMPACT employees, DSPs offer personalized one-on-one assistance, including daily task support, transportation, and companionship.

Three people stand against a yellow background. The person in the middle has a serious expression, wearing a red sequined dress and black cardigan. The person on the left is smiling broadly, with long gray hair, wearing a shiny black and gold dress. The person on the right is smiling, with short dark hair, wearing a green button-up shirt.

By delivering personalized care that respects individual preferences and interests, IMPACT enables people to thrive at home, work, school, and in community life.

As an IMPACT DSP, I’m not just a caregiver to Cat - I’m a friend, a confidant, and most importantly an advocate, helping her negotiate life in a world which frequently misunderstands her unique challenges.

- IMPACT Client Cat and DSP Rebekkah

“Because Brittany requires constant supervision, IMPACT has been absolutely heavenly. They treat us like human beings, and they’re always here for us, day or night.”
